Interior Paint Color Choices Can Make A Huge Impact On Selling
Your Home
Here are just some suggestions from a painting
contractor's point of view that could help sellers SELL their homes. There are
a plethora of color choices (my design coordinator says she dreams about paint
chips in her sleep!). In my previous post I stated I prefer AURA paints by
Benjamin Moore not only for their better adherence, durability, and low voc
factor - but the Affinity Pallette and Benjamin Moore/Pottery Barn Colors seem
to strike a chord here on the South Shore and in the Northeast. You can even
use matte finishes in baths and kitchens due to it's mold and mildew
restistance. The following are colors that my design coordinator has
chosen from Benjamin Moore:
KEEP IT SIMPLE! NEUTRAL COLORS APPEAL TO MOST BUYERS:
Lighten Up with Nice Light Toned Nuetrals/Beiges/Sands/Creams/Yellows:
Lychee #AF-40
Etiquette #AF-50
Frappe #AF-85
Battenburg #AF-70
Jicama #AF-315
Flawless #AF-320
GO GREEN bringing the indoors in (Green is not just
for St Patrick's Day)- These colors look especially nice in Masterbaths where
there is a lot of white tile/sink/baths etc :
Spa #AF-435
Grasshopper #AF-415
Windchime #AF-465
BEACHY blues that work especially well for
homes here on the South Shore. The darker blues (noted by astericks (*)look
best in larger rooms with lots of light (provided by banks of windows and
french doors) and lots of woodwork - especially built-ins and crown
moulding when painted in a bright white shade:
Crystalline #AF-485
Tranquility #AF-490
Serenta #AF-535
Exhale #AF-515
Lucerne #AF-530 (*)
AND OUR TOP PICKS from the Benjamin Moore Pottery Barn
